Berserk And The Band Of The Hawk Mermaid Salve
As the title mentioned, in this post I will attempt to examine the similarities that I see between the themes of Kentaro Miura's Berserk and Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy. I don't necessarily believe that Miura had a 19th century philosopher's ideas in mind when he developed Guts' character, but I think there are striking similarities between the manga and the works of Nietzsche.

To the save file you got to rename it to BKSAVEDATA0000.dat and put it in Documents/KoeiTemco/berserk band of the hawk/savedata in order for it to work and well you know the rest need to turn of steam cloud sync Koei temco savefile locations are a bit different from the usual and are hence located in documents instead of the usual steam/userdata/userid/gameid telling you this first as i may not be awake a few hours later and you can go test it out first. There will be a point where you unlock another item menu called 'Amalgamate' after 'Mission 13:The Morning of Departure'. At this point you can start combining the perks and stats of accessories you pick up. The menu is basically you choosing one main accessory you want to level and between one thru four you want to feed into it. This way you can power up your character rather quicklyEndless mode unlocks very early in the game. I was able to get to floor 20 with a level 13 Guts. In a short amount of time i was able to level much faster in this mode than the main story.Every time you're in Battle Prep before a mission always be sure to go to the shop and buy the materials.
You use these to level up your accessory stats. From my understanding you can use gold to level characters and a certain point in the game so dont stress about having to level everyone up the long way. When it comes to accessories be sure that of the 3 that you can equip that the perks you put on them are not repeated. That way your character can be a rounded out power house such as one accessory having -Attack Up,Defense Up,Technique Up,Flair Up- and another can have -Death Blow Power,Luck Up,Aerial,Force-If you need quick money go into Endless mode and go through the first five floors killing the hidden mini bosses.
They drop a ton of money and give great xp.Items like Salve,Defense,Attack Up are permanent and re-usable up to three times per battle so be sure to use them up to make the game a bit easier. I'll have to check the in-game manual when I get home, but I seem to recall it saying that multiple instances of the same ability will stack, but the language they used made me think it wasn't as simple as two abilities of the same level having double the effect.EDIT: So I checked the manual, and it says in the Accessories header of the tutorial: When you equip the same Skill multiple times, it will increase its effect. So it seems to do something, though not necessarily a simple stacking to double the effectiveness. I have a question. Does the game get better after the first missions? I am a guy who always plays on the highest difficulty on the first run and well, their is not much skill expression in that game besides charging gut's AOE-stun, hitten a couple times and back off before they kill you pretty fast. Since you can not cancel your attacks I feel like you WILL get hit no matter what, making backing off and stunning a couple soldiers the only viable way to play this difficulty.
On hard the guys barely do any damage and attack like every 20 seconds - one soldier that is. At first I thought I did not get damaged at all as the damage was firstly visible after getting hit 3 times which took around a minute (I was just standing around to try out how aggro they are on each difficulty). Result is just that easy to hard is a freaking joke in terms of difficulty, letting you win with just spamming whatever attack you like and 'berserk' will get you buttblasted in a few seconds when you do not opt for cheesestrats. Is it just like that on the first mission? I already put the 'berserk' mode into the trashcan as I do not feel there is a way to outplay the AI, as I said you WILL get hit not matter what if you do not cheese. I still have hopes for the hard mode as being somewhat challenging in the later missions but I am not sure if the time will be well spend. There's no denying that its an extremely shallow and poorly executed game. With that said i enjoy it quite a bit.
I hope the a.i. Is more balanced in the future. Im about to unlock the berserker armor and from what everyone says it gets quite a bit more fun with it. The game itself favors characters with transformation moves on higher difficulties.Once i unlocked the sub weapons the game gets a little less mindless even though all sub weaps suck except for the cannon which usually takes oit officers in 1 hit if you hold down the shoot button. Yeah, it can increase the difficulty for the main game, if that's what you want, but really it is generally to enable you to get high end rewards from even the 'easy' maps. Actual dynasty warriors games, for instance, the best weapons only drop on chaos, usually in a later level, which is the highest difficulty.
After you got access to almagamation seems like difficulty takes a bit of a hike anyway, but enemies without names are pretty much always supposed to die in droves. Its not a dark souls esque game where even a grunt could fuck you up if you let it. For extremely easy Frenzy level build up in Endless mode equip the skeleton horse, build up some speed then press triangle to dash into large crowds of enemies. Your gauge will fill up in just one dash through a large enough group.
Kill the bare minimum amount during frenzy to unlock a deathblow. Run away from everyone and use the deathblow to augment its level to max.Remember that once you have a full deathblow meter and a frenzy meter to press R2 ro unlock the full berserker transformation and destfoy bosses. Also be sure to always jump on the horse before going a floor so you are always prepared.
